Natural Skin Care for the Sun

In Natural Healing by Debra Reis

Dianne Roach, RN gave a great presentation on using natural products for skin sun protection. Her main message – if you cannot eat it then do not put it on the skin. The skin is the largest organ and absorbs anywhere from 30-50% into the bloodstream.

Sunburn relief – consider using 1 oz organic aloe vera gel with purified water and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with vitamin E and 5-10 drops of your favorite essential oil. Store in refrig.

Di offered a Fabulous SunScreen Cream. Use 3/4 cup of choice oil (sesame, coconut, macadamia nut; or a little of all 3); 1 cup purified water; 1/2 oz beeswax; 30 drops of your favorite essential oil(s). NO CITRUS for sunscreen!!! She melts oil and beewax above 168 degrees; cool till you can touch with fingertips; measure water and put in blender or deep bowl (use stick blender); add oil to water in steady stream mixing well. Let cool and add essential oil(s) – mix well.

Enjoy fun in the sun – safely and naturally!!
Di sells natural, organic skin care products including soaps, facial masks, lotions, creams and much more!
